passive infrastructure monitoring
What is data center monitoring?
A data center is a physical facility where organizations store all their data for further use. The process of tracking the performance of surveillance, environmental parameters, and energy consumption by monitoring different equipment is called data center monitoring.
Our solution is modular in nature which provides flexibility to monitor the entire data center. Our equipment is used to monitor environment, energy and surveillance parameters on a floor level, room level, equipment level. Real-time 24×7 monitoring helps organizations to make better decisions and fix irregularities.

What is Sixth Energy‘s data center monitoring solution?
Sixth Energy specializes in passive infrastructure monitoring. The three things which we monitor in a data center are environmental parameters, security, and energy consumption. Data center monitoring makes it easy to collect and analyze data for further optimization.
Environment:
Temperature sensor: Temperature control within the data center is important to avoid equipment overheating. Continuous temperature monitoring helps to measure overall efficiency.
Humidity sensor: If temperature is monitored, then normally it is expecting that humidity is under control. But, to make sure and avoid any unwanted problems it can be good to have a humidity sensor. Humidity is another essential parameter to monitor. Our humidity sensor works in combination with our temperature sensor to ensure optimum operating conditions.
Precision Air Con: Precision air conditioner controller helps to regulate the environment.

Security:
Smoke sensor: The smoke sensor is required for most of the organizations and data centers are no exception. The smoke alarm can send an alert to the concerned team to take appropriate action as soon as possible.
Access control: Access control is required to secure the data and costly equipment from the unauthorized person.
Camera: Installing the camera can help you to provide the utmost security and concerned team can monitor from the control room 24*7.
Energy:
UPS monitoring:The automated UPS monitoring system monitors UPS parameters on a 24×7 basis using two energy meters at the input and output of the UPS.
Grid power monitoring: Our Utility Energy metering system uses AC energy meters with CT’s for measuring all AC energy devices at the site.
Fuel sensor for generator monitoring: Monitoring 24*7 is essential, and during an emergency, the generator needs to be ready. The fuel sensor is required to monitor the diesel level in the generator.
How does it help?
Data centering monitoring solution helps data center managers, operators, engineers, data center customer, power and network team, and chief technology officers make informed decisions. The most common two levels are mentioned below.

Outdoor monitoring:
Cameras, access control, and door sensors are the most important equipment to monitor surroundings. These ensure authorized access of personnel and prevent unauthorized entry into the premises.
Camera: Our wired IP cameras and wireless cameras allow remote access of Video/Images as needed, or can be pushed to the cloud as per defined logic. Our system is designed such that it can be integrated with an NMS/RMS solution and can be viewed from a common platform/APP.
Door sensor: Our wireless door sensor senses opening/closing of doors and logs them as events that can be used for verification if needed. The communication between each sensor and the controller is monitored 24×7 and alarmed.
Access control: Our access system allows authorized access based on the passcode.
Internal equipment control:
The hardware setup also needs to be up to scratch. This is ensured with the help of state-of-the-art sensors.
Temperature and humidity monitoring: Multiple temperature sensors can be installed to provide temperature distribution across points within a room.
Checking smoke: The smoke sensor is available as a standalone sensor or as an integrated solution with other sensors like temperature, humidity, and, intrusion. Our smart smoke sensor holds smart reset option which removes human dependency for a reset after each smoke alarm state.
Motion: Motion or PIR Sensor captures any movement within the sensor‘s range and logs it. It generates alarms as per set thresholds.
