What is Rectifier monitoring?
A rectifier is an electrical device which converts alternating current or AC into direct current. Rectifier monitoring is done through AC and DC energy meter.
Telecom sites have rectifiers, and most of the new-age rectifiers support data exchange through Modbus over RS485 interface. These interfaces allow an external entity to read as well as write data into the rectifier. Sixth Energy Gateways is programmed to interface with a rectifier and read the necessary load as well as battery data. This data is used by our system and data analytics platform for a variety of purposes.
What is required for rectifier monitoring?
AC energy Meter
AC Energy meter measures the three-phase voltage, currents and energy.
Our AC energy metering system uses a combination of AC energy meters with Current Transformations and measures AC energy at the input of the rectifier.

DC energy Meter
Our DC energy metering system utilizes 4 channels to make simultaneous measurements. These can be used for measuring the Direct Current energy output of the rectifier.
